It's one of the first films I can remember making me sit up and take notice of the power of a well scripted, beautifully shot film. Sammon, author of 'Future Noir: The Making of Blade Runner'. Sammon is a total nerd, and occasionally pretty goofy, but his wealth of knowledge is greater than even Scott's. The American Film Institute has posted a short interview with Blade Runner director Ridley Scott, reflecting on the casting of Harrison Ford in the role of Deckard in the 1982 sci-fi classic. Sammon, who aside from several years as a professional writer and Junior Studio Executive, is also the author of Future Noir: The making of Blade Runner.
